Emery Molnar

Deputy Executive Director, Airports Development Program, LAWA 


Mr. Molnar has over 35 years experience in the Los Angeles construction market with leadership positions in general contracting and real estate development. Skilled in multiple type delivery includes Progressive and Stipulated Sum Design Build, Design Build Bid, Construction Manager at Risk and Public Private Partnership. LAX experience includes North Terminals Inline Baggage Screening, Delta T5 FIS, Delta T5 Landside Improvements and Westfield Concessions T1, T2 and T3 airside redevelopments. Emery is an active board member with the Los Angeles Orange County Ace Mentor program and Women in Construction Operations (WiOps).


Cynthia Guidry

Director, Long Beach Airport


Cynthia Guidry is the Director of Long Beach Airport (LGB). Nicely nestled in Southern California as an award-winning airport with a unique open-air concourse, LGB is served by a handful of commercial carriers and is also one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country. LGB prides itself on providing fresh, new facilities and amenities, bringing the ease of travel to its customers. Ms. Guidry and her team are leading the next phase of improvements, adding to the respected legacy of LGB.

Ms. Guidry is a Professional Engineer licensed from the State of California and has over 30 years of planning, engineering, and professional experience. Prior to LGB, most of her career has been working for Los Angeles World Airports, with several years as Deputy Executive Director of the Planning and Development Group at Los Angeles International Airport.

One of Ms. Guidry's goals is to educate, inspire and support the next generation of transportation leaders. She serves on the Board of Directors for the California Transportation Foundation (CTF), and the Los Angeles Chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS). She is member of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Airport Leadership Collective and is of service to multiple technical and community organizations. Ms. Guidry holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Irvine (UCI), and a U.S. Airport Professional (USAP) Certificate of Accreditation from Airports Council International (ACI) North America.

Ms. Guidry has received multiple honors, awards and recognitions, but considers her greatest achievement as being Mom to her wonderful sons. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling, and playing golf.


Komal Kumar

Airport Director,  John Wayne Airport (JWA)


Ms. Komal Kumar is the Airport Director at John Wayne Airport (JWA) since November 2022. She oversees a wide array of crucial divisions, including Airport Operations, Public Affairs, Finance Administration, Innovation and Technology, Quality and Compliance, Planning, and Environmental.

This past year, she worked closely with Orange County Public Works (OCPW) to develop a 711M Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and secured funding sources to support the comprehensive CIP.

Before assuming the Airport Director role, Ms. Kumar served as the Finance Director, overseeing all financial functions, including developing a 5-year strategic financial plan, airline rates and charges, debt and liquidity management, accounting, and procurement. During her tenure as Finance Director, she successfully orchestrated the defeasance of $60.8 million in outstanding Airport Revenue Bonds. Ms. Kumar also bolstered the Airport's financial resilience by significantly increasing cash reserves to nearly 1000 days of cash on hand.

She has been with JWA since 2016 and has assumed various roles, including Budget Manager, Fiscal Operations Manager, and Finance Manager. Ms. Kumar graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside.
